We are the Canamare party of 5.
In 2015, our dream came true to buy a little dirt and call it home. We lived in a wonderful community where we were raising our kids, but desired more space. I (Nicole) grew up in the country with chickens, cows, and pigs and I knew I wanted our family to experience the same.
We found 60 acres in Jefferson, GA and never looked back. In the first 5 days I brought chicks home and asked for a chicken coop for Mothers Day! Next, we grew a garden and so it began.
We wanted to know where our food came from and a couple years later we were ready to raise our own meat. We raised two pigs and we were very happy with the result. We had friends wanting to try and buy our pork so we thought…

We researched, studied, sought guidance, and made a lot of mistakes, but along the way, we have raised ethical, premium meats and eggs.
We feel like we are just getting started and always growing.
Alex and I have been married for 25 years and have 3 amazing kids.
Farmer Alex Works a full-time job then comes home and works the farm. Building, mending, and creating, he can do anything!! He turns our visions into reality!
Farmer Nicole Traded her heels in for Carhartt's and muck boots. Now, is a full-time wife, mom, farmer, landscaper, housekeeper, bookkeeper, poop scooper and so on!

Scottish Highlands
One of our passions is raising beautiful Highlands. They are known for their beauty, calm demeanor, and ability to forage in wooded areas which is perfect for our farm.
Patrick and Ruby are both purebred Highlands from a superior bloodline.
Each year we are growing our Highland herd.
